Vision REVO TP Series Lithium-ion Battery Systems
Available in six cabinet power sizes (25.6, 28.2, 30.7, 51.2, 56.3 and 61.4kWh) the Vision REVO TP Series of battery systems offers a flexible lithium-ion alternative to traditional lead-acid VRLA batteries.
Established in 1994 as Shenzhen Center Power Tech. Co. Ltd, Vision Technology is one of the leading companies producing lithium-ion batteries today. Its facilities achieved ISO9001 status in 2002 and it was the first to pass ISO14001 environmental certification in China. The company now operates with a variety of additional certifications from the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), German VdS, American UL and European Union RoHS.
The Vision REVO TP Series is specifically approved for use with KOHLER Uninterruptible Power’s PW 6000 (60-120 kVA), PW 9250DPA, 9500DPA and MF series UPS systems
Parallelable to 32 battery modules, each REVO TP cabinet comprises 10, 11 or 12 LiFePO4 battery modules of 50Ah or 100Ah each. This provides a range of energies per cabinet of 25.6, 28.2, 30.7, 51.2, 56.3 and 61.4kWh or 10 minutes autonomy at powers of 114, 125, 137, 228, 251 and 274kW respectively.
Each cabinet has its own Battery Management System (CBMS) with moulded circuit breaker and LED status indicators plus an optional HFC-227ea based fire extinguishing device. HFC-227ea is released as a colourless, non-conducting vapour that does not obscure physical vision or displace oxygen. It is automatically released into the cabinet if the temperature reaches 68 deg C.
In addition, a System BMS with screen provides central control and real-time reporting of cabinet status to external systems via CAN, RS485 and dry contacts.

Valve-regulated lead acid (VRLA) batteries – sometimes known as sealed lead–acid batteries – have many advantages and have traditionally been the battery of choice for backup power in UPS systems. However, battery technology has progressed rapidly in recent years. Today, lithium-ion battery technology is an attractive option – especially where high energy density and low weight and greater operating temperature ranges are important. Advantages such as longer lifespan, smaller size and weight, shorter recharging times and falling prices only add to the appeal of lithium-ion battery solutions.
Key Benefits
A battery is a device that uses chemical means to store electrical energy and can be found in any number of shapes, sizes, voltages and capacities.
When two materials (usually dissimilar metals) are immersed in a solution (electrolyte) they conduct electricity between the ‘plates’ which gives rise to an electrical potential. The value of the potential (or voltage) depends on the plate materials and the electrolyte used. Examples of different battery composition include lead-acid, nickel cadmium (Ni-Cad), and lithium-ion.
